The sky is the limit? Not for retired balloon salesman Carl Fredricksen, who at the age of 78 wants to fulfill his lifelong dream: a trip to the Amazon region. In no time, the spry retiree attaches thousands of balloons to his house and floats into the sky. Carl soon realizes, too late, that he has an unexpected passenger on board: the eight-year-old scout boy Russell. The grumpy old man has no choice but to take the chatterbox along on the grand adventure, turning the old man and the spirited boy into a tight-knit team. On their wonderfully comedic journey through the jungle, the unlikely duo meets extraordinary new friends like the talking Golden Retriever Dug and the 13-foot-tall bird Kevin. In the wilderness of the jungle, Carl ultimately discovers that the greatest adventures are sometimes the ones you don't plan.
