The works of the French poet Charles Baudelaire (1821-1867) continue to inspire artists around the world to this day. His essay "The Artificial Paradises" from 1860 is a passionate plea for intoxication, the ability and willingness to enter a state of exception for the mind and senses. 150 years later, audio play director Kai Grehn has adapted this text and reinterpreted it for actor Alexander Fehling. Jeanne Moreau has recorded Baudelaire's poem "Enivrez-vous" in the original French, and internationally renowned musicians provide a musical interpretation of the poem. The result is a unique auditory and sound experience, an intoxication with his poetry! Featuring music by Alva Noto, Anne Clark, Gevorg Dabaghyan, Matt Elliott, Mariahilff, Nouvelle Vague, Helmut Oehring, Original Kocani Orkestar, Sandow, Tarwater, Tuxedomoon, and Ulver.
