A new professional challenge in China turns into a nightmare for war veteran and former FBI operative Will Sawyer, who is tasked with ensuring security in The Pearl, the world's tallest skyscraper at 240 floors. Just as Will takes office, disaster strikes: the 96th floor suddenly erupts in flames. Above that floor, along with hundreds of others, his family is trapped with no realistic chance of rescue. To his horror, he is also accused of starting the fire himself! Desperately, Sawyer tries to find the arsonist, save his family from the blazing inferno, and prove his innocence.
