21-year-old Sophie (Lisa Tomaschewsky) is incredibly excited about her studies and a party-filled shared living experience. But suddenly, she falls seriously ill, and treatments begin to dictate her life. However, Sophie rebels against the dreary routine of the hospital: she wants to enjoy her young life, live her dreams, party, laugh, flirt, and have sex – she refuses to give up anything. Wigs become her new lifeline: sometimes defiantly self-assured, sometimes romantically playful, or coolly erotic – depending on the hair color and hairstyle, a different side of Sophie emerges. She dances the nights away with her longtime friend Annabel (Karoline Teska), falls in love with her best friend Rob (David Rott), and takes her first steps as a writer with her blog online. With the support of her family and a lot of humor, courage, and optimism, Sophie defiantly shows the middle finger to her illness.
