One of the most faithful adaptations of Jack London's great adventure novel. In 1906 San Francisco: Captain Wolf Larsen, known as the Sea Wolf, rules his ship Ghost's crew with an iron fist. One day, he rescues a shipwreck survivor: the literary critic Humphrey van Weyden. However, instead of dropping him off at the next port, he forces him to work as a cabin boy on his crew. The dandy van Weyden finds himself in the foreign and harsh world of sailors and must fight for his survival. His most dangerous adversary is the captain himself, who entangles him in a diabolical game in the moral-free zone of his ship. When the writer Maud Brewster comes aboard the Ghost, a fierce battle ensues between the two men for the young woman.
