The Prince of Zamunda

In the distant kingdom of Zamunda, Prince Akeem decides to search for his future wife in America. He believes that the New York neighborhood of Queens is the perfect place for this endeavor. To ensure he finds the right woman, he travels incognito, without an entourage and without money. Only his loyal servant Semmi is allowed to accompany him. However, Akeem's adventurous and unorthodox behavior nearly drives Semmi to madness. Whether the prince chooses to work at a fast-food restaurant to earn some cash or takes up residence in a dilapidated house in the slums, no idea is too outrageous for him to experience the American Way of Life. By chance, Prince Akeem ends up at a town hall meeting, where he spots a charming girl. It's her or no one, and Akeem devises a plan to win her over. However, he initially hits a wall, as the girl is already in a serious relationship with the wealthy bore Darryl. Akeem, however, sees this as no obstacle.
