12-year-old Mickey Miller loves horses more than anything. She is not at all thrilled about her mother's plans to move to Ireland. However, Mickey's arrival in Longwood coincides with the return of the Black Knight, who haunts the sleepy Irish village. Mickey hears and sees things that remain hidden from others, and soon she forms a special bond with Silver, a proud and untamed horse in the stables of a nearby castle. When she realizes that she is directly connected to the legend of the mysterious knight, she sets out with her new friend Sean to protect her new home. First, however, she must save the lives of seven mysterious horses and thwart the schemes of an evil lady.
