Product details
The Roman Empire has reached the peak of its power, while the mighty Pompeii, situated beneath Vesuvius, is already on the brink of disaster. Yet the inhabitants remain unaware of what is to come. The wealthy fishmonger Diomedes is throwing a feast and has invited the affluent Glaucus, whom he would like to have as a son-in-law for his daughter Julia.
At the harbor, Glaucus encounters the beautiful Jone, who is on the verge of her initiation as an Isis priestess. She is unaware that the high priest Arcabas wants to take her under his control solely because of her beauty and wealth.
The former slave Lydon is a celebrated gladiator, striving to earn enough money through his performances to buy his father's freedom. His great love is the blind slave Nydia. They all become entangled in dramatic events, culminating in the eruption of Vesuvius.
