The Gruffalo Child

The brave story for children about the mouse in the dangerous forest. The great forest is full of dangers. It's good to have a strong friend, even if it's an imaginary one. The little mouse is on her way through the forest. The fox invites her to a jelly feast, the owl asks her for tea, and the snake invites her to the snake-mouse party. But the mouse already has an appointment: with her friend, the terrible Gruffalo. Although she only imagined him, he suddenly appears for real, and his favorite treat, he says, is a buttered bread with a little mouse. The author Julia Donaldson (*1948) worked as an editor, journalist, and teacher. She now lives as a freelance writer in Glasgow. Together with Axel Scheffler, she has created many successful picture books. The actress Ilona Schulz has performed, among other things, at the Grips Theater in Berlin in the musical "Linie 1.".
