The devil violinist

The celebrated violin virtuoso and notorious womanizer Niccolò Paganini is at the peak of his career in 1830. His life is surrounded by numerous secrets, and his manager Urbani does everything to keep the circulating scandalous stories alive. After all, he has every interest in marketing his famous client as effectively as possible. However, the London audience still needs to be won over. To entice Paganini to his first performance in London, the British impresario John Watson and his lover Elisabeth Wells risk their entire fortune. The shrewd Urbani eventually manages to bring Paganini to the English metropolis against his will. Thanks to the enthusiastic coverage by journalist Ethel Langham, the endeavor seems to be a success. Crowds of people gather tumultuously outside his hotel, forcing the musician and his manager to seek refuge with Watson. Here, Paganini quickly becomes enamored with Charlotte, the beautiful daughter of his host. Through music, they find a connection. He falls hopelessly in love with the young singer. However, this love displeases Urbani, who fears losing his influence over his protégé and begins to devise a diabolical plan.
