The Blues Brothers, Blues Brothers 2000

The Blues Brothers (Original) Right after Jake Blues (John Belushi) is released from prison, he and his brother Elwood (Dan Aykroyd) visit the orphanage where they were raised by nuns. They learn that the church has withdrawn its financial support and that the orphanage is to be sold to the Ministry of Education. There's only one chance to get it: Within 11 days the property tax must be paid. The brothers want to help and decide to raise the money by putting their old blues band back together and giving a big concert. But despite their "divine mission" they make enemies wherever they go. Blues Brothers 2000 18 years have passed since the Blues Brothers set out on their divine mission. Elwood Blues (Dan Aykroyd) is finally released from prison and has to realize that a lot has changed in the meantime. His partner Jake is no longer alive, the band has scattered in all directions, so he is now moving to the orphanage where he grew up. Elwood realizes that he has a new mission ahead of him - with the help of a music-loving bartender (John Goodman), he has to get the old band back together, take part in Queen Moussette's (Erykah Badu) "Battle of the Bands" and lead a stumbled orphan boy named Buster back to the path of virtue.
