The works of the French poet Charles Baudelaire (1821-1867) continue to inspire artists all over the world. His essay The Artificial Paradises of 1860 is a passionate plea for the intoxication, the ability and willingness of the mind and senses to go into a state of emergency. 150 years later, radio play director Kai Grehn edited this text and rearranged it for the actor Alexander Fehling. Jeanne Moreau has recorded the Baudelaire poem Berauschet Euch in the original French version and internationally renowned musicians interpret the poem musically.
