Jonathan Clark (Gregory Peck), called the "Boston Man", anchors his ship in San Francisco. Clark is a free spirit who trades in sealskins and dreams of buying Alaska from the Tsar. The Russian Countess Marina Selanova (Ann Blyth) is desperate for passage to Alaska to escape a forced marriage and seek protection from her uncle, the Governor General. Captain Clark and his arch-rival Captain Portugee (Anthony Quinn) wrestle for passage, but suddenly Marina has disappeared - kidnapped by her supposed husband, Prince Semyon. The two captains set off in pursuit with their schooners and a fierce race to Alaska ensues: the winner will take all the booty and the other's ship. (1 Blu-ray)
