Star Trek

A new vision of Star Trek, the greatest space adventure of all time, will be shown. A young, new crew courageously goes where no man has gone before. James Tiberius Kirk (Chris Pine) is an idler and bully like no other and shows little ambition to do anything with his life. One day, after a fight, he meets an old friend of his late father, but his life gets a decisive push in the right direction. Captain Christopher Pike (Bruce Greenwood) advises the young Kirk to apply to Starfleet Academy in order to direct his temperament into useful paths. There Kirk meets friends like the doctor Leonard "Pill" McCoy (Karl Urban) but also rivals like the semi-vulcan Spock (Zachary Quinto), who at first resents Kirk's "creative" handling of some exam tasks at the academy. But when Captain Pike gets into the clutches of the Romulans and it becomes clear that the Romulans are up to something, the hotheads pull themselves together and the young "crew" sets out to rescue themselves and also gets unexpected support from a "friend" from the future ...
