Spider-Man 1: Peter Parker is an ordinary boy who grows up as an orphan with Aunt May and Uncle Ben, while also having a crush on the beautiful neighbor girl Mary Jane. However, when he is bitten by a genetically modified super spider during a school field trip, Peter suddenly develops incredible abilities: fantastic acrobatic skills, a supernatural instinct for danger, and the talent to spin webs. Excited, he makes the most of his new potential: money. But then Uncle Ben is killed during a robbery, and his legacy of "With great power comes great responsibility" weighs heavily on him. As Spider-Man, Peter Parker now dedicates his life to fighting evil. His arch-nemesis comes from his immediate surroundings: Norman Osborn, the father of his school friend Harry, mutates into the ruthless Green Goblin and terrorizes New York. Aunt May and Mary Jane are also in danger.
