Product details

This is a simple breakout board for the AD5330 8-bit Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) from Analog Devices. The AD5330 features a parallel interface and can operate from a supply voltage of 2.5 to 5.5 V, requiring only 115 µA (at 3 V).

The DB0-7 pins, which are the parallel data inputs, are used to configure the analog output voltage. CS selects the device, and the data is written to the input registers on the rising edge of WR. The GAIN pin allows you to set the output range to either 0 V to VCC or 0 V to 2 VCC.

The input data of the AD5330 is double-buffered, enabling simultaneous updates of multiple DACs in a system using the LDAC pin. An asynchronous CLR input resets the contents of the input register and the DAC register to all zeros. The AD5330 also features a power-on function and a reset circuit that ensures the DAC output remains at 0 V until valid data is written to the device.

This breadboard-style board breaks out all necessary AD5330 connections to 0.1" spaced headers. The board includes a decoupling capacitor but does not perform voltage regulation; the voltage on the board should remain within the specified range.
