"Gran Turismo" fan Jann Mardenborough has won a series of video game competitions thanks to his gaming skills. When the teenager triumphs over 90,000 competitors in the GT Academy Contest and becomes the youngest champion of the competition, he gets the chance to represent Nissan at the 24-hour race in Dubai. Racing legend Jack Salter trains the young Brit to become a professional driver. The coach impresses upon him: "If you go off track in the game, you restart. If that happens in real life, you can die!"

Gran Turismo combines the spectacular racing action of the world-renowned video game series with Jann Mardenborough's true success story. Neill Blomkamp directs this compelling mix of fast-paced sports and romantic coming-of-age drama. The cast is a small sensation: rising star Archie Madekwe plays the young racer, while David Harbour portrays his mentor. Other notable roles include Orlando Bloom, Thomas Kretschmann, and Spice Girl Geri Halliwell.
