After 30 years, the two brothers Georg (Bjarne Mädel) and Christian (Lars Eidinger) reunite at their father's funeral. Initially, they have little to say to each other: Georg, who has become a carpenter and cared for their father until the end, and the well-traveled top manager Christian, who returns home for the first time in decades. However, after a night filled with alcohol, they begin to connect: they decide to finally take the road trip across Germany they dreamed of at 16 – on a moped. Completely drunk, they set off that very night. Despite the impending hangover and the realization that such a trip is quite uncomfortable at over 40, they continue undeterred. As they encounter quirky acquaintances and survive various outrageous situations, they gradually realize that their journey is not just about traveling across Germany, but about finding their way back to each other.

Director Markus Goller and screenwriter Oliver Ziegenbalg, the successful duo behind the comedy hit "Friendship!" (2010), are reunited once again: With "25 km/h," they tell a brutally honest comedy about family bonds, long-forgotten dreams, and the courage to do things differently. They have assembled a stellar cast: Lars Eidinger ("Terror") and Bjarne Mädel ("Crime Scene Cleaner"), Sandra Hüller ("Toni Erdmann"), Jella Haase ("Fack Ju Göhte 1-3"), Franka Potente ("Elementary Particles"), Alexandra Maria Lara ("The Most Beautiful Day"), Jördis Triebel ("Me and Kaminski"), and Wotan Wilke Möhring ("Happy Burnout").
