The once-happy Raichand family is torn apart; the eldest son Rahul opposes the arranged marriage set for him - he has fallen in love with the unconventional, lively Anjali. His father disowns him, and Rahul begins a new life in London with Anjali. Many years later, the mother still hasn't come to terms with the loss of her eldest son, and the Raichand family is on the brink of completely falling apart.
