In the prehistoric cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, wild activities abound, which do not please God, the creator of humanity, at all. When His patience is finally exhausted, He decides to destroy the two places and punish their inhabitants with their downfall. Lot belongs to the Hebrew clan that God has previously revealed Himself to. He flees, just in time, with his family at the warning of the impending disaster that is about to befall the two cities. Robert Aldrich and Sergio Leone filmed the biblical epic in 1961 in Italy and North Africa as an international co-production. The script was written by Hugo Butler and Giorgio Prosperi. The protagonist is played by Stewart Granger, while Rik Battaglia, known as a villain from the Karl May films, takes on another role. The popular German show stars Alice and Ellen Kessler make a guest appearance.
