He sings a song for you, but first you must die. Present Day: When Detective Commissioner Oliver Bergmann is called to a double murder, he is confronted with a horrific scene. A couple has been brutally murdered. It does not appear to be a robbery, as the perpetrator seemingly took nothing from the house. On the contrary, he left something for Oliver. Next to the corpse stands a speaker, from which a familiar children's song plays. An ancient lullaby that leads Oliver to a terrible secret from the past. Zons 1504: In the middle of the night, Sister Agnes hears a song. When she checks outside the chapel, she makes a horrifying discovery. A nun lies lifeless on the convent grounds. The sisters believe that the devil himself is roaming the convent, as their fellow sister was not only stabbed but also branded with a devil's symbol. Town soldier Bastian Mühlenberg discovers a secret passage in the convent through which the murderer gained access. But Bastian is too late, as the perpetrator has already taken another nun captive. With each passing hour, Bastian becomes more desperate. Will he succeed in stopping the serial killer and freeing the convent from this nightmare?.
