The series of Pettersson and Findus is based on the successful children's books by Sven Nordqvist and tells the story of the old, inventive Pettersson, who lives with his cheeky cat Findus on his small farm in a red wooden house, far away in the vast Swedish countryside, surrounded by a lake and forests. His neighbors think he is a bit crazy, living all alone with his cat. The old man often talks to himself, and when he thinks he is doing something right, it later turns out to be wrong. Sometimes he just has bad luck, like the time his cow dug up the vegetable patch right after he had planted it. Or one day when his pants ended up in the pancake batter. That's why it's good that Findus is by his side to keep an eye on things – even though he usually runs around, makes noise, and has fun just when Pettersson is trying to get something done. Then Pettersson has to tell Findus to slow down. Because it’s hard to keep up with someone who has four legs. Thus, Pettersson and Findus navigate everyday life and experience numerous adventures along the way.
