Pintos are spotted horses, primarily known as Indian and Western horses. Pintos have unique, beautiful coat patterns that add even more personality to the horses. However, they do not form a distinct breed but are a color breed that occurs in nearly all horse breeds. The coat patterns are classified into Overo and Tobiano. Overos have a colored coat with white markings, and their heads are often completely white, which is referred to as a "lantern." Tobianos, on the other hand, have a white coat with colored markings, with their legs and back usually remaining white.
