They are also among the most beloved children's plays in their stage adaptations. Other titles include The Christmas Pig, The Snowman Child, The Pappenheimers, Karo and Blaumann, as well as the globally successful series Fritz & Fertig – Chess for Kids. Jörg Hilbert has two children and is related to the poet Joachim Ringelnatz.

Felix Janosa has been composing since he was twelve years old. Although he studied school music, he did not become a music teacher but instead became a cabaret artist, jazz pianist, producer, and author. In addition to his numerous music education publications and the Knight Rust musicals (with Jörg Hilbert), he has written for various musical ensembles and produced works for other blues, rock, and jazz artists. Felix Janosa has a daughter and lives in the countryside near Aachen.
