Queen Gedren (Sandahl Bergman) is greedy for power. A magical stone, protected by priestesses, could grant her superhuman abilities. Without hesitation, she steals the stone and has the guardians killed, including the sister of Red Sonja. Red Sonja (Brigitte Nielsen) vows revenge and, after receiving extraordinary powers through a mysterious vision, sets out to destroy the magical stone.
