Zoe & Storm

Unwaveringly, 12-year-old Zoe has set her mind on a life with Storm, her beloved horse. She and her spirited mare were born on the same night, right next to each other, and have been inseparable ever since. However, one evening, a fierce storm hits the seaside stable, and while trying to free Storm and the other horses from their stalls, Zoe is injured so severely that she may never walk again and, it seems, will never ride again. As Zoe is also emotionally paralyzed, her parents' stable is increasingly heading towards bankruptcy. Her father, a gifted harness racing jockey, has surrendered their lifelong dream to a wealthy American who, driven by greed, is gambling away race after race with the breeding horses at the betting exchange. Yet, in light of Zoe's suffering, her parents cannot possibly give up. At their lowest point, they gently come together as a family and rediscover their bond. Zoe fights her way back to life, determined to take on the impossible with Storm, who has always been loyal to her: a life as a female jockey.
