Zoe & Storm - BR

Unwaveringly, 12-year-old Zoe has set her mind on a life with her beloved horse, Sturm. She and her spirited mare were born on the same night, right next to each other, and have been inseparable ever since. However, one evening, a severe storm hits the seaside stud farm, and while trying to free Sturm and the other horses from their stalls, Zoe is injured so badly that she may never use her legs again and, it seems, will never ride again. While Zoe is also emotionally paralyzed, her parents' stud farm is increasingly heading towards bankruptcy. Her father, a gifted harness racing jockey, has put their lifelong dream in the hands of a wealthy American who, driven by greed, is gambling away race after race with the breeding horses at the betting exchange. Yet, in light of Zoe's suffering, her parents cannot possibly give up. At their lowest point, they gently find their way back to each other and to a new sense of closeness. Zoe fights her way back to life, determined to take on the impossible with Sturm, who has always been loyal to her: a life as a female jockey.
