Questions for Mani Matter

In August 1971, I conducted a lengthy interview with Mani Matter about his life and his songs. Since I was preparing a radio program about him for Westdeutscher Rundfunk, we held the conversation in standard German. The following year, Mani died in a traffic accident. Along with other interviews, a printed version of this conversation was published in 1973 by Zytglogge under the title "Fragen an andere." It is the only major interview with Mani that has been preserved as an audio document, and since there has been ongoing interest in it, it is now to be made available on CD. As a small homage to Mani, I will accompany it with some of his melodies played on the cello. Franz Hohler.
