Prokino Welcome to the Sch'tis

The postal worker Philippe Abrams is actually quite satisfied with his life in Provence, if it weren't for the depression of his beautiful wife Julie. For her sake, he tries to get transferred to the Riviera to enjoy the sunny side of life with his wife and child. To achieve this goal, he is willing to go to great lengths, but unfortunately, he doesn't handle things very skillfully, and what must happen happens: he gets transferred, but to his misfortune, not to the sunny south, but to northern France.

Because people in the south only imagine the worst about this dark and cold northernmost part of the country, Philippe leaves his wife and son behind and sets off alone to Bergues - to the Ch'tis - while being pitied by everyone he leaves behind, equipped with a thick down jacket and a suitcase full of prejudices.

Upon arrival, he quickly realizes that although he doesn't understand their dialect at all, the people are incredibly warm and lovable. To his surprise, he encounters a charming little town, a warm-hearted team, and open, friendly people. The postman Antoine soon becomes his best friend. Meanwhile, Julie creates a paradise for him during the free weekends in the south, and he is happier in the supposedly barbaric north than ever before. Everything is going great - until one day Julie decides to come and support Philippe on-site. Now he finds himself forced to confess to Antoine and the rest of his colleagues that he described them to his wife as an uncivilized horde. He needs to come up with something quickly...
