Filmmaker Dominique Margot travels through the Alps, asking various people—including a retired national park ranger, several mountain guides, a botanist, a glaciologist, a Japanese performance artist, and a sound artist—about their relationship with the mountains. The ideas that emerge touch on themes such as mass tourism and climate change, but also point to an innovative understanding of what mountains mean to people.
