To strengthen the wood, it undergoes a special, chemical-free drying process in drying chambers. PlanToys avoids paints that contain lead or other heavy metals. They use only safe, non-toxic water-based paints for all toys. PlanToys works with recycled and recyclable materials to minimize environmental impact. For its printed materials, PlanToys uses soy-based and water-based inks. These inks are biologically more degradable and can be recycled more effectively than standard chemical inks.
