Chess is an exciting strategy game for two people.
Two players sit opposite each other and take it in turns to move the chess pieces around the board. The aim of the game is to checkmate the opponent. This means that the opponent's king can neither defend itself nor flee.
The board consists of 64 square squares, alternating black and white. There are a total of 32 chess pieces, 16 white and 16 black, on the chessboard. Both players have the following pieces at their disposal: eight pawns, two rooks, two knights, two bishops, a queen and a king. Each of the pieces has its own way of being moved.
Chess has simple rules, is not difficult to learn and you can start playing quickly. Nevertheless, chess is very versatile, complex and challenging.
Chess has many advantages. Chess teaches you how to win and lose. Chess trains the brain and is good for concentration and creativity. Chess develops self-confidence and the ability to solve problems.
Chess is known worldwide, is recognised as a sport and is simply fun.
