The Outsider

In the city park of Flint City, the mutilated body of an eleven-year-old boy is found. Eyewitness accounts and evidence from the crime scene point unmistakably to an upstanding citizen: Terry Maitland, a well-liked English teacher, youth baseball coach, married with two young daughters. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son was coached by Maitland, orders an immediate arrest, which takes place in broad daylight. Although the suspect can provide an alibi, Anderson and the prosecutor have clear DNA evidence from the autopsy linking him to the crime - a watertight case, then? As the investigation continues, more horrific details emerge, but so do increasing inconsistencies. Does the nice Maitland really have two faces and is he capable of such inhumane acts?.
