Product details
Hamburg, June 1945, the city lies in ruins. Burned-out houses, debris and ruins, British soldiers, and among them the three fourteen-year-olds Jakob, Hermann, and Traute. Jakob conceals that he is Jewish and pretends to be Friedrich in front of the others. When Hermann discovers this, he wants nothing more to do with Jakob. It’s about guilt and culpability, truth and lies, friendship and hopes in a difficult time.
