New Kids are Richard, Robbie, Rikkert, Barrie, and Gerrie from Maaskantje. A sleepy little town in the Netherlands where time seems to have stood still since the 90s. The career of these seemingly dim-witted village lads, sporting mullet hairstyles and a rough look, with canned beer, tuned cars, gold chains, and flip-flops, began as the stars of a short series on the internet. After more than 2.5 million clicks online, the five village rascals made their debut on the TV channel Comedy Central and quickly developed into a true phenomenon. The New Kids' Facebook pages now boast over 300,000 fans. With big mouths and an excess of testosterone, the New Kids are now also hitting the big screen, launching an assault on good taste.
