The planned ship parade is getting closer, and Hikari and the others are fighting to make it happen. They start gathering signatures and finally manage to arrange a conversation between the sea creatures and the land dwellers. However, during the discussion, the situation escalates due to previous disagreements between the two parties. It gets even worse: the friends learn from their parents that they are now forbidden from any contact with the world above the surface, as they need to prepare for the upcoming hibernation. Hikari and Akari find this too much and decide to turn their backs on the sea and their father.
