The Sex Pistols released only one album during their short career - but it was like a real explosion! When the punk anthem "God Save The Queen" blared out of the loudspeakers in 1977, not only the music world changed. The social fabric was also radically plowed up. At a time when sissy pussies pranced self-absorbedly to disco sounds, the voice rose from the gutter, attacked the establishment and rammed a painful spike into its lethargic sit-down flesh.

In his autobiography, guitarist Steve Jones resurrects this radical era of change, when glue-sniffing, the obligatory mohawk and safety pins as ear jewelry were in vogue. In an uncouth, shockingly honest and sometimes funny tone, he recounts sexual abuse, toiling in a slaughterhouse, brutal crime and rebelling against a "fascist regime" that enslaved the lower classes.
