My distant sister

Two unequal sisters, a dark secret, and the horrors of war. London, 1938: While Rowan drifts from one party to the next, her younger sister Thea works hard to be able to study later. Despite their differences, the two are very close, especially since that tragic accident in their childhood when their mother died and Rowan saved Thea's life. However, Thea realizes that her sister has never told her the whole truth about the accident, a secret that overshadows their relationship. It is only when World War II breaks out and they find themselves in great danger that the truth begins to surface – and Thea learns of the guilt that has weighed on Rowan ever since.
