Mr. Lehmann (Christian Ulmen) is actually named Frank, but as he is about to turn thirty, everyone just calls him Mr. Lehmann. Kreuzberg is the neighborhood where Mr. Lehmann lives. He is the guru of a tranquil world filled with philosophers, artists, beer drinkers, cocaine users, and other free spirits who defend their enclave against any form of change. While significant upheavals are looming in the eastern part of the city, disturbances also creep into Mr. Lehmann's life: his parents, a dog, the beautiful Katrin, and an unknown wheat beer drinker. And on the very day of his 30th birthday, the wall falls.
