Zefix... what heat! It's actually far too humid to go outside. But Kluftinger has no choice: he must investigate in the clay pit where Professor Brunner unearthed the famous skeleton of the prehistoric monkey "Udo" some time ago. Now Brunner has been found buried under an excavator. The scientist, who wanted to prove that the cradle of humanity lies in the Allgäu, had many enemies. Therefore, Kluftinger has several suspects in his sights, including members of an obscure cult. But on a personal level, the commissioner also has to deal with an observation subject: the daycare provider of his little granddaughter is pursuing some very strange educational approaches. This is reason enough to keep a close eye on her and to take flying lessons with Dr. Langhammer and his new high-tech drone. However, the test flight takes a dangerous turn...
