When his friend Alfred falls ill with blood poisoning, all of Michel's pranks fade away. A fierce snowstorm rages, and the doctor cannot come. In that moment, Michel shows the residents of Lönneberga that he is a hero. In the middle of the night, he harnesses the horse and takes the critically ill Alfred to get help.
