What to do when the biological clock is ticking louder and there’s no suitable partner in sight? Karla (Karoline Herfurth) is 39, a radio host of a late-night music show, and once again single. She longs to have a child and finally start a proper family, but finding the right partner under time pressure is not easy at all. So she decides to fulfill her wish for a child on her own. Suddenly, everyone has an opinion: her parents (Ulrike Kriener and Herbert Knaup), her siblings (Nora Tschirner and Milena Tscharntke), her friends, even the neighbors, all while they are stuck in their own complicated life situations. Only her best friend Senay (Jasmin Shakeri) stands by her with advice, support, and the right questions. And then fate intervenes when Karla unexpectedly meets the much younger Ole (Aaron Altaras), who doesn’t fit into her future plans at all and turns everything upside down.
