Lonely Together (DVD)

Rémy and Mélanie are 30 years old and live in the same neighborhood in Paris, just a few steps apart. While Mélanie has lost faith in love after many dates, Rémy struggles to even get a date. They live side by side without ever meeting, increasingly getting lost in the depths of modern urban life – and unbeknownst to them, they are both moving in the same direction.

French director Cédric Klapisch has once again succeeded in capturing the pulse of a generation. Following "L’Auberge espagnole," "So is Paris," and "The Wine and the Wind," Klapisch's latest film "Lonely Together" showcases the life paths of two thirty-somethings in Paris who simply do not want to cross. Because even in the most romantic city in the world and in the digital age, where it has never been easier to meet someone, chance still remains the deciding factor. The lead roles are played by Ana Girardot and François Civil, both of whom were already seen in Klapisch's "The Wine and the Wind," as they search for the meaning of life.
