At the Winterstein School, the celebrations for the 250th anniversary are approaching. For this occasion, Miss Cornfield's class is set to rehearse a musical about the school's founder. For director Ida, the casting is already a challenge, as the queen bee Helene is determined to take the lead role for herself. However, the true singing talent is the shy Anna-Lena, who would never dare to step into the spotlight! Instead, she does everything to avoid jeopardizing her friendship with Helene. It is only through her magical pet, the chameleon Caspar, that she can step out of her comfort zone. Whether Anna-Lena likes it or not, she has to compete against Helene! Ida is also at odds with Helene, and this conflict is not just about the play but also involves Jo, whom Helene is trying to win over by any means necessary.
