The film is based on the true story of visionary American sports car manufacturer Carroll Shelby and the fearless British-born race car driver Ken Miles. Together, they battle against the intervention of their employer, the laws of physics, and their own inner demons to build a revolutionary sports car for the Ford Motor Company. Their goal is to defeat the dominant racing cars of Enzo Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France in 1966.
