Kosmos Cyborg Hand
Product details
This kit creates a precisely controllable robotic hand that is three times the size of your own hand. Grasping large objects, picking up small parts or writing? No problem! Double the fun: first build, tinker and screw, then try out and research. Simply ingenious: the fingers move using water pressure alone - this is how hydraulics is vividly conveyed! The structured instructions start with a funny adventure comic and guide you step by step through the building instructions. What you need exo-skeletons for in real life is revealed on the "after-hook" pages. The individual parts of the kit are plugged together or screwed together with the enclosed screwdriver - no gluing necessary. Suitable for left and right-handers and all hand sizes. The Cyborg Hand experiment kit from KOSMOS is an exciting mix of technical learning and long-lasting fun for children aged between 10 and 14. Building, tinkering, trying things out - the Cyborg Hand is real engineering fun! Children assemble the mechanical exo-skeleton from many individual parts and find the matching screwdriver in the set. Once the exo hand is finished, it is pulled over the child's own hand and the movements are transferred precisely to the artificial hand. Ingenious: the robotic hand works hydraulically, i.e. using only the pressure of water! Lifting, writing, drawing... Just try it out and be amazed. The cyborg hand can lift much larger things than a child's hand, but it can also handle small parts with ease. Even tidying up could finally be fun! The instruction booklet starts with an adventure comic and explains the assembly step by step. It also provides exciting background information: What do people need the exo-skeletons for and which animals could researchers learn something from? Grasping and understanding - fun for children aged between 10 and 14.
