Young surfer and young penguin Cody has a dream: he wants to become world champion in penguin surfing! His great idol is Big Z, a legend among all penguins who have ever stood on a surfboard. Cody leaves his cold home Buenos Icey near Antarctica and heads to the surfer's paradise Pingu Island for the big surf contest. He believes that a victory could make him a star among the penguins. But when he meets the somewhat aged but still extremely experienced surfer "Freak" on site, he learns that there is more to becoming a true champion than just winning.
