Kasperl and the great freedom

Doctor Döblinger's tasteful Punch and Judy show is no ordinary marquee Punch and Judy, but enjoyable, literary children's entertainment. The puppet theatre has received many excellent reviews and has been a guest at several theatres and festivals, including the Munich Volkstheater.The owners, authors, narrators and puppeteers are Richard Oehmann and Josef Parzefall, who have already written nine children's plays for their stage and performed them all over Germany.The elaborate booklet contains portraits as well as information about each of the puppet characters. In addition, children can study a detailed map of Doctor Döblinger's very whimsical Kasperl region while listening.Plot: "Kasperl und die große Freiheit" is the beginning of Doctor Döblinger's Kasperl radio play series. The texts were written in Bavarian dialect and with a great tendency towards the absurd. However, the focus is always on exciting entertainment for the children, although the adults may well laugh along. The characters are classic Punch and Judy figures, such as a witch, a policeman, a magician, a dog, Seppl, a crocodile, a king, etc. The title song "Alle Mitanand" was played by Christoph "Stopherl" Well from the Biermösl Blosn. The brass music was played by the Krinolinen brass band from the Munich Oktoberfest.
