Product details
It is November 9, 2022. The Russian attack on Ukraine overshadows both private and public life. In the evening, the first solo exhibition of the emerging artist Fabian Kolb opens at the famous Berlin gallery Konrad Raspe. Fabian's family, owners of the last Krefeld tie factory, have traveled specifically for this event. His uncle, Hermann Carius, the aging chief ideologist of the "New Right" in the Bundestag, is contemplating a media-savvy appearance at the opening, while Fabian's father hopes to leverage his brother-in-law's international contacts to continue exporting goods to Russia. As the exhibition approaches, Fabian's doubts grow stronger about whether he is truly ready to embrace all the compromises that an international career as an artist entails, especially since his gallerist suddenly faces serious allegations from former employees.
