Gon and Killua, along with the other Hunters, must infiltrate the ranks of the Chimera Ants based in NGL, fulfilling Netero's condition: they must defeat two Hunters who are worlds stronger than themselves in a one-on-one battle. As they undergo Biscuit's training for this purpose, they are constantly pursued by Palm, who is captivated by their progress. As a student and not-so-secret admirer of Knov, she has extracted a promise from him and Netero to allow her to go to NGL, but only on the condition that Gon and Killua meet the Chairman's requirement. Although initially hopelessly outmatched, the two are getting closer to their goal through Biscuit's specialized training.
